However, most student nurses do not have much time when it comes to preparing food in the morning, and to solve that problem, this article is made to provide nurses with on-the-go meal plans for breakfast, from rice and viands to fruits and oats. One of the newer trends today is overnight oats. So what is it? -Overnight oats are a no-cook, time-saving breakfast made by soaking rolled oats in liquid (like milk or yogurt) overnight. This softens the oats, creating a creamy texture by morning. They’re a great grab-and-go meal, perfect for busy student nurses!

Ingredients:
- ½ cup rolled oats
- ½ cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)
- ¼ cup Greek yogurt (for extra protein)
- 1 tbsp chia seeds (for fiber & omega-3s)
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
- ½ cup fruit (e.g., bananas, berries, apples)
- Nuts, nut butter, or granola (for topping)
Instructions:
- Mix all ingredients in a jar or airtight container.
- Stir well, cover, and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4-6 hours).
- In the morning, add extra toppings (if desired) and enjoy cold or slightly warmed up.
